Family Services and Education

  • Rawlings Library- We serve as a foundation for our community by offering welcoming, well equipped and maintained facilities,outstanding collections, and well-trained employees who provide expert service encouraging the joy of reading, supporting lifelong learning and presenting access to information from around the world. They have everything from book rentals to video rental to family-passes to the Zoo and the Children’s Museum for check-out. 

  • Child & Adult Care Food Program- With funding from the USDA, the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) improves the quality of meals served to kids and adults across Colorado. Funding allows for child care centers, family child care homes, at-risk afterschool programs, Head Start and outside-school-hours programs, adult day care centers and emergency and homeless shelters to serve healthy snacks and meals.

  • YMCA- We seek to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in programs and services that assist them in living fuller, healthier lives. Because of the positive impact of the Community Support Campaign, more lower-income youth, teens, seniors, and families throughout our community are provided the opportunity to participate in Y programs and services than ever before. Through our Financial Assistance program, the YMCA serves all people regardless of ability to pay. Eligibility is based on total earnings, extenuating circumstances, and available funds.

  • Care coordination for families with children who have special health needs- HCP supports families to manage a wide range of questions, concerns, and services for their child with special health care needs

  • Early Intervention @ Colorado Bluesky - Services include a free developmental evaluation and intervention services, if a child qualifies based on an identified delay from the evaluation. A doctor’s referral is not required, only a parent’s concern for their child’s development. Call 719-583-2459.

  • Family Support Program @ Colorado Bluesky- The Family Support Program is a state funded program that provide individualized supports to families who are caring for a family member with developmental disabilities/delays, including connecting them with resourcesand providing limited financial help

  • Colorado Shines- Colorado Shines is a quality rating and improvement system for Colorado’s licensed early care and learning programs. Using proven methods, it measures quality based on how an early learning program supports its children, families and professionals.

  • Children First- Children First is a leader, with state and national collaboration, in bringing about accessible, affordable, quality early learning opportunities.

  • Qualistar- We offer training, assessment, grants, scholarships and technical assistance to early childhood education providers, collaborating with state and local entities to efficiently and effectively deliver solutions across the state.

  • Child Care Aware- The organization leads projects that increase the quality and availability of child care, undertakes research, and advocates child care policies that positively impact the lives of children and families.

  • Colorado Child Care Assistance Program- The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) program provides child care assistance to families who are working, searching for employment, or are in training, and families who are enrolled in the Colorado Works program and need child care services to support their efforts toward self-sufficiency.

  • Family Planning Services- Family Planning and birth control services are free for individuals under the age of 20

  • Health Solutions Youth and Family Services- Our therapists, case managers, and psychiatrists share a common goal, and work together to provide services for children between birth and 18 years of age.

  • Catholic Charities Family Support Programs- Programs that support families in all areas such as parenting and providing a safe environment for your little one.

  • WIC- WIC is a nutrition program to help income eligible families with children up to the age of five years and women that are pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding.

  • RMSER Headstart- Operating a federally funded program for low income families with preschool aged children.

  • Safe Sleep for Babies- Every year, there are thousands of sleep-related deaths among babies. Know how you can help prevent this.

  • Boone Migrant Headstart - This Program serves children from six weeks old to six years old whose families are engaged primarily in agricultural work.

  • After School Alliance- Afterschool programs keep kids safe, inspire them to learn and help working families. For every child in a program, two are waiting to get in. We're working to change that.
